As you may know bridge rectifiers which makes use of four diodes in a brige arrangement to achieve full wave rectification, this is a widely used configuration.
Explanation of a Full-Wave Bridge Rectifier. A full wave rectifier is an efficient mechanism for converting alternating current into direct current.
