Kingtronics International Company — Inspired by Innovation

Power instability and image loss are no longer acceptable in today’s imaging devices. From compact digital cameras to mission-critical surveillance systems, performance hinges on reliable energy backup. As the demand for uninterrupted operation increases, super capacitors are quickly replacing batteries as the go-to backup power source — and for good reason.

The Shift from Batteries to Super Capacitors

Traditional lithium or coin-cell batteries have long been used as backup power in camera modules. But as resolution, processing speed, and data storage requirements grow, so do power demands. Batteries often struggle with:

  • Limited charge/discharge cycles
  • Longer recharge time
  • Temperature sensitivity
  • Bulky size in compact systems

Enter the super capacitor: a high-performance alternative engineered for fast charging, high reliability, and extended lifespans.

Why Super Capacitors Lead in Imaging Applications

Super capacitors like Kingtronics DKT-DZ offer critical advantages for both consumer and security-grade imaging systems:

  • Fast Discharge Rate: Delivers stable power during recording or data writes.
  • Ultra-Long Cycle Life: Over 500,000 cycles, drastically outlasting batteries.
  • Low ESR: Supports high-efficiency energy transfer with minimal loss.
  • Compact Form Factors: Available in Radial, Snap-in, and Screw types—ideal for flexible PCB designs.
  • High Reliability in Harsh Conditions: Withstands wide temperature ranges and voltage fluctuations.

Whether you’re building a dashboard camera or an industrial surveillance unit, stable power is non-negotiable — super capacitors provide that insurance.

Consumer vs. Surveillance Devices – Same Needs, Higher Stakes

In consumer electronics, image quality sells. In surveillance, it protects. Both need continuous uptime during events like:

  • Momentary voltage dips
  • File-saving after power loss
  • Real-time clock (RTC) continuity

Super capacitors ensure no recording loss, no reboot delays, no corrupted files—critical for capturing the moment or securing evidence.

DKT-DZ: The Ideal Power Backup for Camera Modules

Kingtronics' DKT-DZ Super Capacitor stands out as a drop-in solution for imaging device designers seeking dependable backup power. Its high surge tolerance, thermal durability, and compact size make it the preferred choice across applications.

Conclusion & CTA

Battery-based backup is fading. Super capacitors are the future of reliable power in imaging electronics — and DKT-DZ is ready now.

About

Kingtronics International Company was established in 1995 located in Dongguan City of China to handle all sales & marketing for factories located in Chengdu, Sichuan and Zhaoqing, Guangdong, China. In 1990, we established the first factory to produce trimming potentiometer and in 1999 we built up new factory in Zhao Qing, Guangdong. Now with around 850 workers, Kingtronics produce trimming potentiometers, dipped tantalum capacitors, multilayer ceramic capacitors, and diode & bridge rectifier. We sell good quality under our brand Kingtronics, and Kt, King, Kingtronics are our three trademarks. All our products are RoHS compliant, and our bridge rectifier have UL approval. Please visit our Products page, you could please download all our PDF datasheet and find cross reference for our Trimming Potentiometer and capacitors.
